In the heart of Lovely Leitrim, in the Republic of Ireland lies Carrigallen, in the corner between counties Cavan and Longford. In fact it is at a point in Carrigallen parish, in its southern extremity, that the three provinces Ulster, Leinster and Connacht meet.

This site was designed with the purpose of informing you the viewer of the many attractions carrigallen has to offer. Whether you will ever visit the village in person or not I hope this tour will inform, educate and enlighten.

Local Book Launch a Great Success
Scríobh Scribbles, a collection of short stories and poems by Scríobh: Carrigallen Creative Writing
Group was launched at the Kilbrackan Arms Hotel on Friday 28th October 2016, in Carrigallen. Well
known Author, Gerry Boland kindly launched the book and a large crowd attended to hear readings from
five of the seven authors on the night and to purchase signed copies. Thanks to Donal and staff at the
Hotel and to all those who contributed in any way to the realisation of this first book from this creative
writing group. The book is available in local shops or from any of the authors.
